The Pink Washer: A Bold Statement for International Women’s Day
This International Women’s Day, I had the joy of hosting a lighting workshop alongside my amazing creative team—a collaboration filled with talent, artistry, and a touch of rebellious fun!
The concept? Take an everyday object long tied to women’s domestic labor and flip the narrative. From Household Chore to High-Fashion Prop
The idea of coloring a washing machine pink and dragging it into my studio came naturally—an on-the-spot creative spark that turned into a full-fledged statement. But here’s the catch: in our shoot, the washer is not a symbol of outdated expectations. It’s just a prop—one that our empowered model, dressed in all her glam, confidently sits on top of.
And then, something magical happens. The washer, once a representation of routine and limitation, succumbs to women’s aspirations and dreams. It breaks open—not with laundry, but with a burst of spring flowers. Oops! 🌸
A Collaboration of Talent & Vision
This project wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible work of my creative team—makeup artist Marina Shevelina, fashion stylist Anastasia Talan, set designer Marina Malvina—and the powerhouse women who gathered for this workshop. Together, we created something that’s not just visually striking but also a celebration of strength, evolution, and the power of women taking charge of their own narratives.
